Reviewing & Approving Enriched Products
This article explains how to review, edit, and approve enriched products in Proton PIM, including what data to verify, how to make edits, and best practices for efficiently moving products from review into the catalog.
After enrichment completes, products are placed into the Review Queue. This is where your team verifies accuracy, makes edits, and approves products before they are added to the catalog.
Reviewing products ensures that only trusted, accurate data becomes part of your system of record.
Understanding the Review Queue

Each item in the Review Queue shows:
-
Original input data (what you uploaded)
-
Enriched product data (generated during enrichment)
-
Source references and confidence indicators (where available)
This side-by-side view makes it easy to validate enrichment results.
What to Check During Review
When reviewing a product, we recommend confirming:
-
Manufacturer and part number
-
Key technical specifications
-
Product category and naming
-
Any attributes critical to your business
If something looks incorrect or incomplete, you can edit it before approval.
Editing Enriched Data

Before approving a product, you can:
-
Edit any enriched field
-
Add missing information
-
Correct inaccuracies
All edits are saved and tracked, so changes remain transparent.
Approving Products
Once a product is reviewed and confirmed:
-
Click Approve
-
The product is added to your Catalog
-
It becomes available for export or integration
Products are not added to the Catalog until they are approved.
Tips for Efficient Reviewing
-
Filter the Review Queue by brand, category, or upload batch
-
Start with a small subset before approving large uploads
-
Focus on key identifiers first, then review secondary attributes
After products are approved, they move into your Catalog for ongoing management.
